New member of the team: Juliane Schlapschy, Intern Product Management
Meet our new colleague Juliane Schlapschy, who joined us as an Intern on the Product Management team in February 2022. Let's read to see what Juliane's understanding of working as an intern at DPM is like and her key takeaways as well.

1. How did you end up at DPM?

I am currently in my 6th semester studying Digital Business and the next step to finish my curriculum is to perform an internship. During my studies, I already had some insights into the activities of a product manager. I was very interested in it, and I was sure I want to have a reality check on this job. I did a lot of research on the internet, but it wasn’t that easy to find the right company. After I found a blog that introduced digital companies in Munich I was directly impressed by DPM. I asked them if it is possible to perform my internship there and now here I am.

2. What is your career plan after completing your education?

I don’t want to stick to a strict plan, therefore it is hard for me to commit to only one path. I think I am on the right way with what I am doing now. I am completely happy with my career so far and looking forward to what the future holds for me.

3. Can you tell us a bit about your first weeks at DPM?

In the first weeks, I received a lot of input. I got to know all the colleagues, the company culture, and the different products DPM is working on. On my first day, I already got involved in my first project which was pretty cool and gave me a lot of approval that DPM was a good choice. Most of the time I used to work remotely due to the current covid situation nevertheless I learned a lot and got to know a lot of my colleagues.

4. How do you balance your work along with your student life?

As my curriculum requires a practical semester there is currently no interference with my studies.

5. What makes DPM different from other companies that you have worked with so far?

DPM gives you the possibility to really get into the business world. You can actively work on projects and get to know the clients in meetings. They give me the opportunity to support the team, give me my own tasks, and listen to my opinion on different topics. The whole team is open to my questions and takes the time to explain things. Therefore, I get the feeling that for DPM it’s important to develop yourself. I never felt like an intern. Also, transparency plays a big role at DPM as you always get to know what is going on, get regular updates, and get involved in the team inside or outside the office.

6. What are the five terms with which you could describe yourself?

Motivated. Inquisitive. Creative. Team player. Organized.
