New in Team: Vishwajeet Srivastava

Vishwajeet Srivastava (23) strengthens the tech team as a Software Engineer at DieProduktMacher. How, he will tell you himself:

Back in India, I studied Computer Science in my undergrad. At the time of my second year, I began developing android applications and fell in love with it. I did a couple of internships in this field then. After a while, I started contributing in the open source software. Soon I got selected in the Google Summer of Code, in 2016 and 2017. I graduated in 2017 and started working for an Indian startup afterwards.

I am really passionate about product development and came across an amazing program called Digital Product School based here in Munich, which is a 3-month program for building new age digital solutions. I applied there as a software engineer, soon got an offer and my journey to Munich began from there on.

Why DieProduktMacher?

I got to know DieProduktMacher as part of one of our workshops at DPS. Directly, I had a good time along with good interactions with some of the team members. The fact I really liked about the company was the open culture and the values. It is not usual to meet people who are really passionate about what they do - and this team definitely is very passionate about creating digital products and experiences.

One day I messaged Kamila about the possibility of working together and got a positive response. I applied as a Software Engineer. Soon afterwards I had interviews with the technical team and got an offer.

But joining here was not so easy - even after the offer - since I am from outside Europe and needed a residence permit to work in Germany. It was a long and tedious process but the company really helped me during this whole time, especially Fabian and Josephine, who were there till the end of the entire process. After sorting all the legal work, I joined the company soon and started a new phase in my personal and professional life.

Looking forward to the future

In the last couple of months, I had a great time working on a few of our client projects and exchanging knowledge not just within the team but also across other teams as well. I am learning new things every day and enjoy working with my teammates. So, I am looking forward to work on interesting projects and create awesome digital solutions.
