Since I was always a big fan of being a “jack of all trades”, I found my passion in Product Management, fascinated by the versatility it requires. After graduating in industrial engineering from RWTH and having gained first experiences in management consulting at Siemens, I joined a tech startup in 2017 to begin my career as a Product Manager. There, I got the chance to learn and grow my skills in the B2B SaaS field. Although, I could develop my UX capabilities and had the opportunity to face the challenge of navigating the complex topic of distributed systems I was missing a data driven approach. Believing that mastering the ability of data driven Product Management was critical for the future, I started my search which finally led me to DieProduktMacher.
On the world product day I attended a product tank in Munich where I had the chance to connect with Brigitte from DPM. As she was the organizer of the event, she had a few words about DPM. Recognizing the name, I got interested and started a conversation with her. After our exchange I applied and had the opportunity to interact with more people. I quickly realized that the image DPM promotes was true, since they are living the values they stand for: respect, freedom and growth. In addition, DPM offered me what I was looking for: the perfect environment to develop data driven Product Management skills. Therefore, I decided to join DPM.
So far I am very happy with my decision. In the last months I got to build up my expertise in the data field and validate the culture from inside the company. What I especially like at DPM is that everyone has a voice and can contribute to topics he/she deems important. In this regard, I want to end this post with one of my favorite quotes:
“The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” - George Bernard Shaw
